These singles events are incredibly popular, so to attend you'll have to be one of the first 10 guys or 10 girls to book. You'll need to get to the venue by 6.45pm for a 7 pm kick off. The dating goes until 8.15pm.

At the start, you'll be given some matching slips and a question sheet if you need them. During the evening you'll spend between 8 to 12 minutes in conversation with each member of the opposite sex. When the bell rings the men move on to the next lady. Many people use the interview time to simply chat, others like to be guided by our question sheet , and some bring along their own questions. As the evening progresses, you write down the firstname of anyone you'd like to get to know better.

Matches should never be preplanned. Then if you both select each other it has a much much greater impact at the end of the night and can be truly magical and a fantastic surprize start to a really strong involvement and you should then take immediate action and make immediate plans there and then with a true match. But then on the other hand you could agree to pick each other and get an agreed match. We still don't know which system is better: chance or planned, probably chance.

At the conclusion of the f.u.c.k. speed dating sessions, it's time for discovering the matches. This is where all the dating slips are compared by your host in search of two-way, or recipriocated, primary matches. Usually 50-60% of participants get a match, that is with the person of your choice who has also chosen you too as the one they want to get to know better! Some even get more than one! - what an interesting problem to have! (be prepared if this happens to you). Secondary matches (reconsidered selections can take your chances of getting a match to 80%! Hence f.u.c.k. speed dating is the quickest most practical way to find that 1 in 900 who is a perfect match for you who quite likes you (presuming you fall for only 1 in 30 and they also for only 1 in 30).

Reciprocated primary matches are disclosed quietly to the lucky participants on the night. Secondary matches can be discovered upon enquiry at the end of the event.

What to do if you get matches

Let's be honest. If you do get a match on the night: go off together, your place or theirs or stay back and keep chatting or go somewhere else to chat more first, or swap phone numbers, arrange a date within days, and stay back and have a drink together and then go off together. Bring your diary.

If you get more than one match, just diplomatically swap phone numbers with your matches and stay back and chat with the group and arrange to meet each match later. Dates should all be organized asap. Or then again you could arrange a threesome. F.u.c.k. Speed dating is much more honest than normal speed dating where scams abound.
